32-Tri-State Old Time Cowboy Memorial Museum, July 2022

TriStateOldTimeCowboyMemorialMuseumJuly2022

This was our last stop of the museum whirlwind tour that we went on, traveling and viewing it with 2 of Cindy's older sisters Diane and Linda. We were all impressed by the local flavor of these small town museums and what they had to offer. Diane had a great time at this museum looking over the different local brands from the surrounding ranches. Learning how to read brands can be a fun past time, plus give you a feeling of the local community flair.

From website:

Tri-State Cowboy Memorial Museum. This award-winning Museum is a wonderful mix of pictures, models, and actual relics from the era of the Old-Time Cowboys. You can find all manner of interesting pieces, ranging from stacks of used saddles to a wall of registered brands. There's even an old Dentist's chair complete with pulled out teeth! The museum is open every afternoon from June 1 through September 15, 1:00 to 5:00 pm, and by request at any time. Located in Winship Park at 4th & Oak Streets. Free Admission Phone: 308.282.1115 Email: dvbrowder@gpcom.net.

Diane had a great time attempting to understand all the brands displayed, after reading the instructions on how to actually read a brand. I got a load of photos that I will create a slideshow from and add to our website. Nice little museum and worth the stop.
